Drasna, the Dragon-type Trainer and member of the Kalos Elite Four, is making their Pokémon Masters EX debut today in a sync pair together with their partner Dragalge. Also launching today is a new Egg Event focused on Fire- and Psychic-type Pokémon.

Olympia, the Gym Leader of Anistar City, is making their Pokémon Masters EX debut today in a sync pair together with their partner Sigilyph. Also launching today is a Daily Type Rotation event, Type Team-Up. This is the first Daily Type Rotation event in two years, since the end of the original Type Team-Up event in August 2021.

Continuing on from the launch of the conclusion to the Villain Arc's Galar Chapter at the start of this week, a brand new Extreme Battle event, Beat the Unbeatable Champion!, has now has now begun in Pokémon Masters EX. Also launching today is the previously announced Poké Fair Scout for Gloria, with her new Sync Pair partner Cinderace. Both the event and limited-time scout will run through to August 18th at 10:59pm (PDT).

Palkia is making its return this week through the Cooking with Palkia event, succeeding the recent Cooking with Dialga event. This new event offers many rewards, including the opportunity to recruit Shiny Charizard. A special delivery for Five-Star Chef Zorua in its Starry-sky outfit is also now running.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Ranked Battles Season 9 has begun. This season, which will run through to August 31st, at 11:59pm (UTC), will follow Regulation Set D, which came into force at the beginning of July with the start of Season 8.

The Fair-Exclusive 5★ N & Zekrom are the featured Sync Pair for the latest Monthly Poké Fair Scout in Pokémon Masters EX. This scout will remain available until August 31st, at 10:59pm (PDT). Teaming up with the pair will unlock N as a Guest for the Trainer's Lodge.

Niantic has announced details on upcoming events and activities in Pokémon GO across August, with an infographic posted to their social media accounts. The infographic includes a variety of events between now and the beginning of September. While several of the items included in this infographic were previously announced during previous months, the update does provide dates and times for an additional event running between the end of the Pokémon World Championships and the start of the Pokémon GO Fest 2023: Global at the end of the month.

Niantic has revealed that the Bubble Frog Pokémon, Froakie will be the featured Pokémon for Pokémon GO's Community Day for August 2023. During this event, Froakie will be appearing more frequently in the wild, together with its Shiny variant. The event will be held on August 13th, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time.

Niantic has announced a new type of event in Pokémon GO, the City Safari. These ticketed in-person events, similar to Safari Zones and Pokémon GO Fest, will feature location-themed wild Pokémon encounters, event-exclusive Special Research, and more. The Mount Pokémon Skiddo will make their Pokémon GO debut exclusively in these City Safari 2023 events, before becoming available to all Trainers worldwide at a later date.

The conclusion to the Galar Chapter of Pokémon Masters EX's Villain Arc has now launched in game. Debuting alongside the release of this new chapter is a brand new Villain event, Hear the Cheers!, offering players the opportunity to power up Hop & Zamazenta. Two new sync pairs will also be appearing in special Poke Fair scouts in conjunction with this new story content, with the scout for Leon with her new partner Dragapult launching in game today.

A new version of Pokémon Masters EX, version 2.35.0, is now available to download. This relatively minor update will enable players to invite Calem to the Trainer Lodge, starting from July 31st. The monthly message from the producers of Pokémon Masters EX has also revealed details on the upcoming conclusion to the Galar Chapter of the Villain Arc, including information on new Poké Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs that will launch along this story update. The producers also provide a brief preview of events coming to Pokémon Masters EX with the final Villain Arc chapter at the end of August, during the game's 4-year anniversary. The next letter from the producers is slated to be released sometime mid-August, before the run-up to that anniversary begins.

A limited-time distribution of Shiny Grimmsnarl, based on the one used by Chaiyawat Traiwichcha in the Masters division of the 2022 Pokémon Thailand Championships, is scheduled to be announced for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet tomorrow as part of the Worlds 2023 Pika Fiesta! Campaign in Malaysia. However, due to the password format for this distribution following the same pattern as previous years, fans have managed to guess the password 「THA12022CHAMP」and obtain Grimmsnarl early. This distribution is available in-game now, and will remain continue through until August 18th, at 11:59pm.

In what seems to be turning into a regular occurance, Pokémon Sleep has received an update today to Version 1.0.4. This latest update resolves a number of issues that had been impacting app users on both Android and iOS devices. The official Pokémon Sleep account on (formerly Twitter) has also acknowledged several bugs and issues that they will be looking to resolve in a coming update.

Ahead of the Pokémon GO Fest 2023: Osaka and Pokémon GO Fest 2023: London in-person events early next month, Niantic has announced the Glittering Garden event in Pokémon GO. This global event, featuring some of the Grass-type and Fairy-type Pokémon appearing in the GO Fest events, will start in the middle of the two in-person events on August 5th, at 10:00am local time, and conclude past the end of those two events to August 8th, at 8:00pm local time. Shiny Petilil will also make its Pokémon GO debut in these events.

More returning content is coming to Pokémon Masters EX this week, with a re-run of 2022's Melancholy Wally story event. Sygna Suit Wally & Gardevoir, who first made their debut alongside the original run of this Story Event, are also making a return in a new Poké Fair Scout. Both the event and scout are available in-game now, and will run through until August 8th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Maxie & Groudon, who featured in the Hoenn Chapter of Pokémon Masters EX's Villain Arc, are making their return to the game today in a Master Fair Scout. Also running today are a collection of regular events and presents for the monthly Pokémon Masters Day celebrations.

Dialga is making a return to Pokémon Café ReMix this week with the Cooking with Dialga event, offering players a variety of rewards including an opportunity to recruit a Shiny Chandelure. Two special deliveries are also running, with the delivery debut of Diancie, and the return of Five-Star Chef Mimikyu in its Halloween costume.

Continuing on from the recent launch of the new Trainer Files: Akala Passion event in Pokémon Masters EX, Mallow & Shiinotic are making their debut today in a set of Variety Scouts. These scouts will be available until August 3rd, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Pokémon UNITE's 2nd Anniversary celebrations have now begun, with a variety of events running in-game alongside the debut of Mewtwo as a playable Pokémon. Despite being intended as a easy to learn but hard to master style Pokémon, it seems players have been a little too successful with the Genetic Pokémon, and the game's developers have announced an emergency balance adjustment will be coming later today.

Four Pokemon games are set to feature in the 2023 European Speedrunner Assembly (ESA) summer event, which will take place from July 22nd to July 30th across two streams in Malmö, Sweden. This year's event will be raising money for Alzheimerfonden, the Swedish Alzheimer’s Foundation.
